About farm: El Porvenir is an independent Colombian farm owned by Camilo, green bean lead of Venka. Located at 1800 masl in Andean cloud forest, rich volcanic soil and big day-night temperature gaps allow slow, balanced cherry maturation. Its decade-old Geisha trees are cultivated with micro-lot single-plant methods, merging classic Geisha jasmine & bergamot aromas with native Colombian tropical sweetness. The farm adopts 100% shade-grown regenerative agriculture, carbon-neutral via pulp compost and water recycling. At 2025’s 10th Colombia Coffee Quality Competition “Land of Diversity” auction, its honey-processed Geisha took four awards: 1st Best Acidity, 2nd Best Balance, 3rd Best Smoothness, 3rd Best Special Flavor. It claimed top lot status with a winning bid of $105.50/lb. |
