About farm: Elto Coffee was founded by Eliyas Dukamo and Atiklit Dejene, a couple dedicated to specialty coffee. Atiklit Dejene previously worked as the processing manager at Gesha Village Estate, possessing extensive experience in precision processing and quality control for Ethiopian coffee.
Specializing in green specialty coffee beans, Elto Coffee strives to build a better coffee community. The company operates a processing facility in Sidama, Ethiopia, focusing on exclusive small-lot experimental processing. Its main processing methods include Washed, Natural and Honey. About process:
After harvesting, coffee cherries are sorted by density and quality via flotation. The cherries then undergo washed processing to remove pulp and mucilage. After washing, the parchment coffee is moved to elevated African drying beds. The parchment is turned every 30 minutes to achieve even drying. The average drying duration ranges from 15 to 18 days, subject to weather conditions and humidity levels.
