About farm: In 2017, American entrepreneur Kyle Snider and his business partner Larry Kolek acquired a small coffee farm in Panama. Fueled by their passion for specialty coffee, they promptly expanded their holdings by purchasing adjacent plots of land, marking the official beginning of their coffee-growing venture. During the initial phase, they assembled a professional team to rehabilitate the soil and introduce premium coffee cultivars, systematically transforming the undeveloped land into a specialty coffee plantation. As operations scaled, they acquired two additional parcels in 2018 and secured investment to establish a subsidiary. Over seven years, their holdings grew to encompass six farms in western Panama, cultivating over 300 acres of Geisha coffee—establishing them as an emerging force in the industry. Their estates adhere to sustainable farming principles, employing organic cultivation techniques in the high-altitude volcanic soils of the Barú region to produce exceptional coffee while maintaining a low-carbon footprint. This zero-to-one entrepreneurial journey exemplifies how the founders' passion translated into world-class specialty agriculture through remarkable execution. |
