About farm：Black Moon is the personal estate project of agricultural engineer Hunter Tedman. Over the years, he accumulated extensive cultivation and management experience across three estates under La Hacienda Barbara, eventually translating these practices into a regenerative agricultural system tailored to the high-altitude terroir of Boquete. Born out of this philosophy, Black Moon is dedicated not only to the pursuit of exceptional flavor but also to building a more sustainable and vibrant coffee ecosystem.
The estate currently cultivates only two varieties: Geisha and Chiroso. Driven by rigorous agronomic management and an uncompromising pursuit of quality, Black Moon has rapidly emerged as a rising star in Panama's specialty coffee scene. It was awarded the runner-up position at the 2023 Best of Panama competition, followed by winning the championship the next year with its Chiroso. Today, Black Moon stands as a benchmark for competition-grade coffee production, renowned for cup profiles characterized by purity, clarity, and extraordinary terroir expression.
