About farm: Janson Family Farm traces its origin back to 1926, when Carl Axel Janson left Sweden for Panama and fell in love with the land, nature and surroundings of Volcán, Chiriquí. Later, Carl’s children took over the family business and officially founded Janson Family Coffee.
All premium coffees from Janson Family undergo traditional drying preparation and meticulous hand sorting. For both natural and washed processing, the estate combines modern technology with artisanal techniques to pursue top quality and distinctive cup characteristics.
Beyond coffee farming, the farm provides housing for workers, funds healthcare and education programs, and runs day care as well as summer camps. Sustainable growth and development remain core goals of the family. The farm regularly participates in prestigious competitions including the renowned Best of Panama (BOP) and has earned multiple awards.
