About farm: Finca La Guaca is a coffee farm located in Maraca, Pitalito, in the Huila Department of southern Colombia, a region renowned for producing internationally respected micro-lot coffees with vibrant acidity and complex profiles. The farm is owned and operated by José Hernán Salazar Benavides (and often his partner Marina Elina Ansasoy), who discovered and named the Ají landrace variety on his own property. About variety: Discovered at Finca La Guaca in Colombia, Ají is a rare, Ethiopian-derived coffee landrace known for its distinctive aromatics and elegance. Its unique profile earned 6th place at the Colombia Cup of Excellence, making Ají a standout among the world's most exceptional coffees. |
