About farm: Alo–Murago is a high-altitude coffee station located in the Bensa region of Sidama, Ethiopia. Sitting above 2,300 meters, it works closely with smallholder farmers who grow heirloom varieties such as 74158, known for its vibrant acidity and floral complexity. As part of the Alo Coffee network, Murago focuses on microlot production, precise processing, and full traceability. The station is designed as a modern “advanced facility”—combining traditional Ethiopian coffee knowledge with controlled-environment technology to create exceptionally clean, expressive coffees. About process：At Murago, some coffees are dried using a special method called the Light-Deprived Environment (LDE) process. Instead of drying the cherries under the sun, the coffee is moved into a dark, fully enclosed, climate-controlled room. |
